Do you really need to directly tell a guy if you like him?

I had a friend say that men are horrible at reading hints. The specific guy I like is already a friend and I don't see how he doesn't know that I have a crush on him but I'm not sure if I should just come out and tell him or not.

Well to be fair most women are VERY BAD at dropping hints. I think the problem is that most women's attitude today is that guys risk NOTHING in relationships. The reward has to be worth the risk. And most women the risk outweighs the reward. So many women lead men on. So many women bait guys. Rejection isn't fun. A guy isn't going to risk rejection unless he feels his efforts yield measurable positive results. If a guy is willing to risk rejection regardless I promise you you're going to lose on that deal. Because you are a dime a dozen to him.

Yes, and its not that we are horrible at reading hints, its that assuming what hints mean is stupid.

If a woman is serious about a guy, she will tell him directly, instead of playing stupid mind games. Women who cannot speak up for themselves and actually be honest and open about what they want and are thinking, are mentally unattractive.

Yes, men are horrible about picking up on the subtle hints women tend to rely on to show interest. We don't have that gene.

Also keep in mind that most women love to complain about two things. Half of women complain that they can't be friendly to men without men thinking they are flirting, and the other half complain that men don't pick up on the subtle hints women give to show they are interested. Imagine the position that puts men in.

If women were just honest and straightforward, it would be better for everyone, don't you think?

I am kinda new to relationships I'm 18 and still learning (not a virgin but inexperienced) I would hope he gets the message. Make eye contact, do some light touching, compliment him on his looks and maybe jsy ask him out for a date. I am assuming you are not sexually involved yet? How old is he?

Yes. You need to tell us. I’ve had women smashing their boobs against me and reaching down my pants before I realized they liked me.

On top of that, no guy wants to get callled creepy, or that he assaulted you, or that he misread/misunderstood your level of interest. We get prosecuted for that. Or fired.

Yup, many times you really do need to. And honestly, even if you didn't NEED to do it, why wouldn't you want to? It's something easy you can do that makes communication clear and reduces the likelihood of you not getting what you want.
