So I been seeing this guy for a while now and I'm gonna state that it's a serious relationship and he is old school.

So we feel a lot of love for eachother and have a deep connection. He says he wants to spend the rest of his life with me.

So anyways we hadn't talked about having sex yet, he kept showing me baby pictures his nieces and nephews and and asked me if I liked children. After I said yeah and then I asked him that can we have sex? He said he was waiting for me to bring it up and that he didn't want to sound demanding...

Healthy guys into marriage surely wants sex. Hence he's simply shy due to his conservative upbringing.

Does want to have sex with you? Yes, probably. Did he bring up having kids in order to bring that about, I doubt that. Sounds like he's feeling like settling down. That does NOT mean you should choose to settle down with him, but you could consider it.
