Am I over thinking this?

So I’ve been texting this guy off and on since April, I really like him but I’m not sure what he’s thinking. We’ve had some very intimate conversations and phone calls. I believe sexually we are 🔥 but we haven’t met in person, we’re about 3 hours from each other. He has said that he wants to eventually meet up. There are days that we will text throughout the entire day then there are days I send him a text and not get anything back. So I tend to just wait till he messages me before I text him. I know I shouldn’t read to much into messages and that some guys just aren’t into it, I also know that sometimes life is just plain busy. But am I wasting my time hoping for something that’s not?

Maybe it’s just where I live that everything is long distance, but a 3 hour drive is not that long time for someone I’ve talking with for 4 months. Any reason you haven’t met up yet?

No where I’m from it’s normal too, at least I’m willing to put in the effort to travel. I like to get out of town as often as possible. Summer has been very busy tho and I’ve suggested coming over a couple times but he already had plans. I’d gone out the third and drank to much, when I’d told him he’d asked me if my clothes fell off. Earlier this week he texted in the morning and I didn’t get back to him till the afternoon, I’d been sleeping. When I’d told him that’s what I was doing he said he thought I’d gone out and got some dick. Just weird, but I’m so bad about reading into anything.

Yeah that’s a really weird response. How often do you actually talk over the phone or even better FaceTime?

I can’t say that the reason we only talk on the phone every once in a while is on him, he’s been ready to call me on a couple occasions and I hadn’t been able to talk cause my kiddos were around. We haven’t face timed, but I’ve also never asked. I would say that our conversations have always been at random times and sometimes late at night which leads me to believe that he doesn’t have a family at home. I don't know we’re both older and have jobs and responsibilities, so I’m not totally upset that if there is something it is moving slow. I’m just not a patient person 😆 and I hate wasting my time and thoughts on something that may be nothing if that makes any sense.
