I can only speak for myself. Sometimes I completely forget about an app, and don't use it for months. Then I'll go look for something, and get wrapped up in looking at things, leaving comments, and before I know it, I'm returning every day again. Then, go to another app that I hadn't used for months, and do the same thing. If he's the same way, it could be something as simple as that.
