How many men here think that women wear makeup for male attention?

I would think girls wear makeup because they want to make themselves feel good and look good it's about them and how they feel that moment that day same way with when they dress I hope they don't dress for guys I hope they dress for themselves

As a matter of fact I hope that anything that a woman does she does it for herself and not for a guy

Well. It depends on the woman. But I think most women just want to look good for everyone as well as themselves. Not just men. Sure, there is some women who go all out with it.

I wore make up in high school and it was never to impress a guy, it was so I could feel better about myself. I stopped in university and it was because I stopped caring about my appearance. I don't mean that I did not exercise or diet, I mean that I no longer tied my appearance with my confidence inside my brain.

We were makeup because we want to look our best. Sometimes that's at work or school, other times it's to impress a guy on a date or get a guy we like to notice us.

They do, but I am guessing it's usually done to look presentable more than anything to people - not specifically men.

I imagine it's probably similar to how sneakers are for men where a huge chunk of it is for validation from everyone (not a specific gender), yet you also can easily get trashed on for what you wear. However, I do think it is different for women when it comes to keeping appearances up for everyone period based on stories I have heard. It seems like they have a lot more pressure than us to look good.
