I don’t think they always necessarily owe closure. It depends how long you were talking for and what went on. If you’re talking to a guy for a few days to a couple weeks and he stops talking to you, that isn’t a long enough time to develop an attachment to someone, so you shouldn’t care about an explanation or closure, just move on. But, if you were both speaking for months or went out and it seemed like it was going well, yes I think it would be understandable to be upset and want closure, and I think it would be respectful on their part to give it to you. However some men don’t care about your feelings, and are only thinking of themselves. These are men that were never worth having in your life to begin with.

Who cares? You don't need closure. If they are really that type of person, then what can you do? Can you really control that? That just shows of their immaturity level.

Dragging it out isn't always closure or seeking some form of clarity. If it's over then it's time to just deal with it.

From my perspective, there are tons of chicks that would use an excuse like this to talk you out of leaving her and the just hit you with a ton of questions and insults. Not all... many will accept your legit reasons and move on, but you know the types I'm talking about... nobody wants to deal with certain types of people once the mask has slipped. They're fake anyways.

Look the majority of single guys are looking for committed monogamous relationship.

Not saying it's not sad, because it definitely is. Though, realistically.. I don't think many people would keep in touch after a first date for example, if the two had little to no chemistry with each other.

More than likely in cases like that I believe they wouldn't even notify each other of a second potential date.

But that's just one example.
