Why do some guys just not take the hint?

Ok so let me Clarify for what I’m about to say. I’m not saying walking up to girls is he worst thing in the world some places it just baffles me, like have SOME class. I was going to the bathroom the other day and this group of guys way bigger than me started tryin to talk to me and I was the only girl in the hall and they kept talking about some friend who thought I was bad and etc and I tried ignoring them and kept walking and they kept following me and KEPT GOING. it’s just like bro you are older, bigger and I’m the only girl there…obviously I was uncomfortable bc they were like 3 years older which is a significant difference when they’re over 18 and I’m not….

I don’t mean to be whining but it just confuses me bc I’m just tryin to use the bathroom like what-

Some people just don’t understand how they make people feel even if they have completely innocent intentions. But you could also be sensing more is going on look if I talk to someone and they don’t talk to me…. Why even waste my time?

But use your words just say “excuse me I’m going to the bathroom can’t talk right now” and walk on about your business. Also…. Where you can carry a self defense device. Preferably a gun. But anything is better then nothing. A knife. OC spray. Taser. Etc.

I mean you do have to meet people somehow or another as well as not everyone has romantic/sexual intentions some people just like to talk. But if you’re getting a bad feeling you’re probably on to something just tell people you’re busy or can’t talk.

People misread signals such as when working retail or service for instance. You have to be nice and professional so some people take things as flirting that absolutely is not. It drives me nuts especially when I’m obviously standing in line and some dude is hogging it up because he wants to talk to the pretty girl but the look on her face says it all. But…. If they are rude to them and they complain they can get into trouble.

There is a time to talk to someone and a time to not. Read the room… If someone’s sitting there about to take a bite out of a burger? Is it a good idea to walk up and talk their ear off especially if you don’t know them like that? If you know them okay but. Like no matter what your intentions are probably not the best time. If someone’s lifting a weight or running on a treadmill at least wait until they are between machines.

Some people also just crave social interaction. Old people do this a lot and I try to be nice to old people because sometimes they don’t have a lot of people anymore. But

No I totally agree but I’m the kind of person to get awkward or uncomfortable in situations when I’m alone and I don’t know how to react so I just sorta freeze up and the main issue is that they were like over 18 and tbh I don’t look their age or over 18 at all so it really freaked me out and I was in a hall where they were literally surrounding me so I chose to just not say anything.
It’s honestly really hard for me to read if someone is just being friendly or hitting on me and I hate to assume so I never like to make and assumption even if it’s obvious…

Because approximately half the male population are or at least would be sex offenders if they have the opportunity to get away with it (40% are respectable and the remaining 10% have no interest at all)
