My older coworker crush is often the butt of his boss’ jokes. Should I report his boss to the police?

I had a wise ass manager when I worked at Ford Aerospace, and he was a smart mouth to many of his underlings... He wised off to me one to many times and I told him to knock it off, or I was going to Personnel with a formal complaint of harassment. I t stopped.

Oh. At my job it’s retail so we just have the bosses and I think they hire and fire everyone.

The police would not get involved in a 'civil' matter. What he has is matter for Personnel or an attorney.

Oh. That sounds complicated to be honest. Plus it sounds like he would be putting his job on the line if he got an attorney or even if he went to HR. I’ve actually heard the boss say that someone told him he’s ‘too hard’ on my crush. So I think others noticed and told him to stop. But he clearly hasn’t and it’s been months since then. So I’m at a loss.
I want to ask you if this is just how men act with each other? Someone online told me guys just are rough like that and to let them be.

Is your age correct? Going to police over sone jokes at the age of 30-35 is very extreme and nonsensical. If he’s around your stated age then he’s a grown man and can talk to Human Resources or his employer in general about what is occurring. Involving the police over something so trivial though is not correct.

Unless there is a crime. The police can’t do much. But yes report them to HR and maybe see if he will go out with you lol. You can probably make him feel better.
