Should I take my boss up on his offer to stay in his other apartment in Miami?

He offered it out of the blue.. I guess as some sort of a gesture due to the fact that pay has been severely reduced for months because business has been slow. It doesn't make up for the 5 figures of lost income.. but he will be in NY to line up business for months, and told me I can use his Miami apartment if I ever want to go down there.

Best to keep the lines of work and personal life separate. Once you begin blurring the lines then you get into messiness of what if you stay in his place and after you leave he claims you ruined something in his house. Now you have legal issues and then what if he treats you different or worse at work due to something personal etc etc. I know that’s a more extreme situation but I’d avoid it.

I’m surprised he offered that to a male employee. Normally if a male boss offers an employee the opportunity to stay in his second home in a place like Miami then it’s usually a female employee that he wants to get in her panties.
