Was my supervisor flirting or being a jerk?

I always let my supervisor know that I have finished the work and will go onto the next department to work. This time, he seemed like he was in a good mood when I walked into the room, I grabbed his attention and his friend was in there too. I told him that I finished the work and he eyes me out with a smirk and replies “ Good job”. It sounded sarcastic, and his friend started to laugh. So I replied back with the same energy ( sarcastic) and they both laughed. What’s going on?

To me that sounds a lot more like being sarcastic than flirting. Has he flirted with you before? I mean in any other ways? How you describe it sounds like sarcasm to me. If you want to consider that being a jerk then go right ahead. I kinda agree that he was one. There isn't any reason to be a jerk or sarcastic because you did your job. That isn't how good bosses operate. I don't have a ton of work experience but the experience I have has always been with bosses that are positive when you do what you are supposed to be doing, not sarcastic.
