I’m in this situation with a girl I’ve known since high school, but we’re in our 40s now. While I always found her attractive, I never pursued before until we reconnected in our 40s and she started initiating contact and wanted to hang out more and more. So as long as I’m also crushing on her and see possible reciprocal interest, I pursue if she responds in a good way. I won’t chase though. If she goes quiet after a while, I go no contact unless/until she reaches out again
