Why would a guy leave you?

This guy said he likes me and wanted a relationship, at that time I was in knowing each other phase then we started becoming close and close. We also had fights. But still said he likes me. Then when now I asked him he is truly serious for me he said no. Why would he do this?

One possibility is that he really does like you but not in the sense of a relationship. You like your friends right? You wouldn't get into a relationship with them though. That is sorta what I mean. He may like you in a certain way but also feel that a relationship isn't going to work. You mention that you have had fights. Maybe he is looking at that as a red flag for getting into a relationship. I would view it the same way. Doesn't mean that he can't still like you as a person and just think a relationship is not the best idea. You don't have to hate someone just because things wouldn't work as a couple.

He changed his mind. He doesn't want to invest in you emotionally. Men make very quick decisions on this which is admirable. Women loke to hold onto hope and potential then we cry "woe is me" later. Guys can come off cold, and some of them are overly cruel, but it is better to just rip the bandage off. You know?
