At first he'd raise one eyebrow and look at me in a very judgmental way. I told my husband about it and it stopped. I started trying to be nice making him food. Now he's laughing a lot and very nervously around me. He's pulling his shirt and I'm just confused on what he my be feeling. I obviously want him to like me. I'm more on the shyier side and he seems to be very outgoing with everyone else.

Yo luv, I wouldn't worry too much about your bro-in-law. Some dudes just take a bit to warm up, ya know? Could be he was skeptical of you at first since you're part of the family now.

The laughing and fidgeting sounds more like he's nervous around you instead of disliking you. Making him food was a nice way to break the ice! Maybe he's intimidated coz you're shy and he's outgoing.

My advice would just be keep making an effort to include him, but don't stress if he's still awkward. In time as you both get used to each other he'll chill out. For now don't take it personal, and don't go trying too hard to force a bond either. Let it come natural.

Yeah, I get that. But, I see the 'he was nervous' component mentioned in pink user posts frequently. It always seems like a vague perception supporting the narrative they are creating in their head. Like here: if BIL didn't like OP he wouldn't be nervous... that doesn't make sense.
