Confronted my boyfriend yesterday about him texting another girl, he said "he is not hiding anything". Do you think he is lying?

My boyfriend is texting with his female coworker whenever I'm not around.

I've had enough so I confronted him with the words "why aren't you texting/calling her whenever I'm not around, are you hiding sth?".

He was visibly confused and said "I'm not hiding anything".

Maybe he doesn't text her because he wants to give you his attention when you're together. That's what I do. It would be kind of rude to spend time texting when you're hanging out with someone, don't you think?

And what is their relationship? Are they maybe long term friends?
But once he starts deleting conversations or gets upset if you ask to see what they are talking about... then he is most likely hiding something
