Why would a married man keep looking at me?

I have met this man at common friend's house on the occasion of a festival. I didn't care at first. This guy is married to very rich but fat lady. She is a nice person as much as I have heard from others. They have done love marriage & have 4 year old son.

On that day, I was with my parents, I was serving them with sweets (bcz they asked for it), as I turned after serving this guy raised his hand, pointing that I should go upto him to serve the same. i helped him too.( I was meant to serve my parents only) Till now no problem.

Then after 3 months, I met this married man again in a party but this time he was with his friends. I came along with my friend & that time he was talking on phone, standing alone at the entrance, i walk past him, then I was talking to other people.

The moment i turned back he was looking at me while talking on call. I ignored. After 10 min, I looked at him, he was in the same position looking at me. i got creeped out. Why he is staring? He kept looking at me for a long time like coming in front of me looking at me or just stand & stare at me. Anyhow I was creeped out. Before leaving he stood in front of me &kept staring & I thought may b he is trying to recognise me or something. So i stepped forward thought to say hi bcz he was irritating me with continuous stare i wanted him to store , the moment I stepped forward, he ran away.

Why did he do that, he was staring on my face for a long time. I have heard he is a party freak, so no shyness too. I have no intention to ruin anyone's life, believe me. Note - we haven't spoken yet This person is my family friend, would like to get valuable advice regarding this situation thanks

That dude's behavior is definitely sketchy and crossing boundaries. Staring like that is disrespectful since you're not even close friends. A few possibilities:

- He may find you physically attractive and have some inappropriate thoughts, even if he'd never act on it. Still not cool to ogle a married man.

- Could be he's lonely in his marriage and looking elsewhere. Doesn't excuse staring you down though.

- Maybe he's just socially awkward and doesn't realize how off-putting long creepy staring comes off. Unlikely given he ran off when confronted.

If it happens again I'd tell someone you trust - don't keep that shady behavior a secret. And avoid being alone with him at all costs. Guys like that could escalate if encouraged.

Not much you can do since he's a "family friend" but stay away and don't engage if he tries talking. Hopefully was just a weird one-off thing and it doesn't continue. Keep your guard up - trust your instincts!

thanks, but when I told about him to other, no one believes because he has good family man image & everyone often says he cannot do this but I m also not lying. I thought he is good husband untill he showed this weird behaviour which made me doubt.
I don't know he was ogling or he was just trying to recognise me

I feel you sis, that's super frustrating when no one believes your side. Guys are good at keeping up appearances, so it's easy for them to fool people. But trust your gut - you know what you experienced.

A few thoughts:

- It's possible he was just trying to "recognize" you at first, but the staring was way too intense and long for that. Dudes don't eye-hump someone that hardcore just to place their face.

- With the running away when you approached, that shows he knows what he's doing is shady and didn't want to get busted. Innocent people have no problem saying hi.

- His reputation makes it even sketchier - those "good guys" are usually the biggest players under the surface. People don't expect it so they operate undetected.

I'd say trust your instincts on this one sis. He gave off major creeper vibes. Just stay far away from him and don't get sucked in if he tries chatting you up. Some dudes are masters of manipulation, don't believe the charm! You seem smart, you've got this.

May b or may be not because this has good family man image, even I thought the same untill he was staring at me like a creep. If it was as a part of him trying to recognise me or not is the doubt. But I felt sketchy bcz stare was for a long time that too in public place.
