I once told a person they performed above my expectations at an art project they were doing and they were offended that my expectations towards them were that low that it was so easy to exceed them.

  The guy I was chatting with is a virgin, and I told him that I'm jealous as hell of him, which he didn't mind hearing (some guys don't like you to tell them that), and then we started exchanging comments back and forth, and I fumbled over my words a little, and I kept sinking further and further... lol
