Is it normal for men to throw tantrums and get mad when you have limited time for sex?

We literally spend time daily but I am a business executive (30 F) with a hectic travel schedule and also try to prioritize family. Although I spend the most time with and on him (50 M), he throws tantrums and gets pissed off if I interrupt sex to handle a family matter or other unexpected things. For example, today we were in the middle of making out and heavy petting in bed when my brother knocked on the door to vent about something important. My brother took up most of my break time and I had to get back to work and my guy literally threw a fit and got mad that I didn’t tell my brother to leave and now he didn’t get to have sex. He always feels like this is proof I care more for family over him and even brought up an example of me picking up meds for my grandmother over spending time with him. I am trying to be patient but it’s starting to impact my wellbeing. Is this normal for men? I don’t really have any experience except for him so I don’t know what to compare to.

I don’t know if it’s normal, but a lot of men will get upset over it. There’s a lot of things men don’t care about in life, a lot. But sex isn’t one of them. To a man sex is very important, it shows him you love him, that you care about him. Sex, food and that’s about all men really need. I wouldn’t be surprised if this relationship doesn’t last, especially w the type of job you have and a hectic life. You have no time for him, he will more than likely move on to someone else who does. In a way he feels as though you don’t even need him.

In all honesty a lot of men don’t care about how much a girl makes, her job, her education, etc. I’m not saying that to be an ashole that’s just how things are. The things that women look at in a man, finances, security, height, etc, men don’t look at that in women. Her being a millionaire doesn’t make her more attractive to men. A lot of times women who are CEOs or supervisors or things like that have masculine qualities. Not something men want. I don’t want to come home to a girl who is going to butt heads w me the way other men do in public, at work, etc. A man needs to feel needed, to have a purpose in life. When you as the female have everything he provides no real purpose. He doesn’t feel needed.

Yah any guy would get upset feeling like a side piece. If you always prioritize other things consistently then his sensitivity to that issue will just keep growing. So what would normally not seem like a big deal gets compounded each time he feels neglected. I'm not referring to the sex aspect specifically. But for him I imagine that's considered an intimate bonding part of a relationship for him and to have it just tossed aside all the time would negatively effect any guy

The issues is that he feels like he is not a priority to you. That is a big issues, I dont think he minds your job or family, just the fact that you dont think enough about him and his feeling. Yes, tantrums seem overboard and immature, he probably has some personal issues so its very important for him to be a priority, but it also says he really cares about you and is very tempermental person. He wants you sometimes to say no to others and choose him, thats literally it.

This is not (I hope) normal for men. Just for those who never grew up, emotionally.

It's entirely understandable that sometimes sex gets interrupted. If he was mature, he could handle it.

The next time this happens, just tell him he's free to masturbate and finish himself off.
