Is he waiting for me to ask him out?

So there's this guy, we've been talking since summer, two weeks ago he invited me to his house for dinner. It was the second time we saw each other in 'real life'. I arrived at his house, we went shopping for ingredients together, then cooked together, ate together, talked a lot and after that he walked me to the bus stop. Since this time we texted a few times, the last time was on Friday, I texted him first and our conversation was quite short. Since this time he was active on social media quite often but he hasn't initiated a conversation or anything.

Is it possible that he got bored of me? Or is he just waiting for me to make a move? I mean he invited me to his house for a dinner so maybe it's my turn to ask him out somewhere and because I haven't done that he thinks that I'm the one thats not interested? What do u think?
