Why do the guys at work make me feel so stupid?

I work at a parcel sorting job and it involves moving big cages filled with heavy packages with palet trucks or lifting parcels. Some of guys make me feel stupid or not capable. I feel like I get stares and gossip about me since I’m the only female in the warehouse. Starting to feel uncomfortable what should I do

It could be a number of things. Maybe you’re cute. Maybe you’re not pulling your weight, slowing down production or they have to slow down whatever they’re doing to compensate you. Maybe it was an all dominated male workspace so now they don’t feel comfortable having a girl around. They can’t talk or act like they normally would. Maybe they feel like giving you some advice but don’t want to for a number of reasons. Do you talk to any of them there?

you can only control your reactions not their perceptions of you. Also realize that it is a job and jobs dont hire everyone with the same skill set. This is horrible advice, but keep your cool and dont feed their cliche with a noticeable reaction.

I can’t do my job in peace without an audience of guys putting me in the spotlight every time I pull a cage out with the paler truck because it looks heavy
