I was with a narcissist that would isolate me, get me sick, stalk me etc.
he would tell me that I don’t act like I want things.
What are some examples of ways to make a narcissist feel needed?
I don’t understand because he set the tone for me not to ask for things, said he’d never do anything for me, then when I wouldn’t ask for anything he would get upset about me not needing to rely on him for groceries and clothes.

Whoa, your ex sounds super toxic and manipulative. No one deserves to be treated that way. The key thing to know about narcissists is that they need constant validation and supply from others to feed their fragile ego. By isolating you and controlling you, he was trying to make you completely dependent on him so he could feel important and needed. But that's so not chill.
Some things narcs like are over-the-top compliments, making a big fuss over little things they do, prioritizing their wants and needs above your own. But honestly, the healthiest thing is to not play those dumb games at all. You've got to take care of yourself and not let anyone treat you like crap just to stroke their ego. Easier said than done, I know - breaking away from that stuff can be tough. But you totally deserve way better. Keep your head up - don't look back, and don't give anyone else power to make you feel that small ever again!
Who wants a narcissist, anyhow?
I’m just asking. What makes that type of person feel needed?
Something he lacks. Lonely for a good woman who he can connect with.
Why would you ever want him
