Hey guys, so my boyfriend knows I have some issues with trust and no he was not the one that broke my trust. My boyfriend stated to me yesterday that “ I can easily lie to you and you would just accept it”. I don’t know what he meant by that. He knows I have trust issues and because of my insecurities I tend to get into one too many arguments with him. So I don’t know what he will mean by that. Please I need answers…

Yo dude that sounds kinda weird, like why would he say that if he knows you got trust issues? Seems like he's tryna mess with your head or something. I'd be like bro wtf you tryna imply? Cause that don't sound right. Maybe he just talkin without thinkin but you gotta let him know that ain't cool to say to someone with trust problems. Just play it cool but tell him straight up you wanna know what he meant by that. Then see what he says, see if he just being dumb or if there's something else goin on, ya know? Don't stress too much, just talk it out and see whats up.

A cool head is best for discernment. If you were both in a heated argument when he said that, it would not have been him at his best. Of not, then making a little distance to protect yourself, but not dimping him, seems reasonable to me. You could research various things from multiple sources about any old topics yourself, tale notes, ask him about them, and see if he says differently than what you found. If he does, then the best case scenario is that he was overconfident.
