Guys, What does this mean?

So basically I work at my college as a student assistant at the front desk and I’ve been training this new guy for almost 2 months now. We’ve got to know each other, shared so much, had really good conversations, make eye contact while smiling. He looks at me all the time and when I catch him staring he looks away. I’m a shy girl so I don’t usually make a move on guys but since I’ve been in my stepping out my comfort zone era I decided to write my number on a stick note and give it to him as we’re leaving work and told him to wait until I leave and he put it in his pocket. I gave it to him on Monday and we work together on Mondays and Wednesday, so on Wednesday I came to work and he didn’t say a word to me. He didn’t even look or ask for help when he needed it and I’m just wondering what did I do wrong here😭🤦🏽‍♀️ I was really starting to like him because we instantly clicked and liked similar things.

This feels like my response to almost everyone here, bit I'll keep saying it.

Talk to him clearly and directly. If you are confused, it's because you are not communicating well.

Ask him if he looked at the sticky note. Ask if he understood that you were giving him your number because you wanted him to call you.

Your profile says your age is 18-24. That means you are an adult. You can have an adult conversation. I believe you can do it.

I don’t talk to guys often bc I’m more focused on college and my career but this was the first time I was interested and curious about a guy. I asked him if he was okay and he said that he’s just stressed a little about his exams but goes quiet. When my other coworkers talk to him to talks normal. I tried starting a conversation with him but he just responds but doesn’t reciprocate the same energy so I asked him if he wants space and he said no so I decided I’m gonna leave him alone because I’m chasing him and I stepped out my comfort zone.
