Am I the twisted one or is this a little scary?

So a guy I've been seeing for 6 to 8 months invited me to a cottage. I made a joke about it being nice as long as he doesn't cut me into pieces and feed me to the wolfs. he's answer was that he's bringing his dog so we don't have to fear the wolfs. He never adressed the rest of the joke. Am I overthinking it or is that weird?

You are overthinking it way way way to much! If you don't thrust the guy because you barely know him... Meet up in a public place instead of in his cottage.

Personally I wouldn't even want you in my cottage of you are scared that I might be chopping you up or hurt you in any kind of way. Making a "joke" like that is very disrespectfull because most guys aren't evil serial killers so it really is disrespectful to even think that way.

I understand that you might be careful and somewhat scared but don't see him in his cottage untill you feel safe with him. Meet in public places untill you know him well enough!
