Am I the weird one?

Since I was about 25 years old, I've considered an age gap of about 5 years older/younger to be acceptable for dating. Now that I'm 34 though, dating a 39 old just seems somehow wrong to me. Like they're basically 40. Is that really petty? I'm sure a 29 year old would consider me too old as well.

I guess it's cause I don't feel 34. I still feel like I'm in my mid 20s.

I am not interested in parties and bars and concerts, so I do not consider a reserved life to be bad, but I do feel weird if I’m starting my dreams and somebody else has attained it already.

We're all weird in some ways. I'm seven years younger than you and have no issue dating women women 35 or 40 or older and have only dated one woman younger than I am, and that was by less than three months. That probably seems weird to many people.
