Is this statement true: every rich guy needs a poor guy. Every good guy needs a bad guy?

We’re always in need of each other. There Wouldn’t be rich guys without poor guys. providing the services. There need to be demand and supply at every aspects and every end of the spectrum, it’s a circle.

If we lived a more harmonious lifestyle, and worked towards each person's best abilities, we would be able to have balance, where yes there will be some who have more than others, but all would have something to sell to another, and be able to sustain themselves and their family. It would not be equal across the board, but you would have no one needing to beg, as there would be some kind of work for them so they could earn what they needed.

The problem we have today is that many do not want to work; they see begging as a better way to go. We need to change that mind set. If we can instill in society that hard work is a necessity; we can redefine what constitutes poor.

The Bible says that you will always have the poor. As long as you have people who either are being denied good work, or deciding to not work, you will have poor. Handouts lead to them not desiring to work. The moment you have them do some work for a handout, that is the moment they gain their place in society and learn the value of their time and work. They may still be poor, but now they understand that if they work, and do it right, they have a way to make their lives better!

No genuine bad guys are needed by anyone , not in the name of balance or anything else if you are genuinely good , if the statement only reffers to say an " edginess " then I can affect the meaning , as I'm not sure too many people are " all good " or " all bad " although there must be some somewhere.

If you are rich , you need workers and servants , here where I live is a good example , the cleaners here would be on 9k baht a month , maybe 10 , max ! Thats a slow week expenditure for me AFTER , accommodation and transport , you are as a farang expected to help assist these poor people which I always do , always have a monthly extra clean , leave a tip ( which basically no one does here , unless USA ) , and they do all the " stuff " , same with the GRAB driver , the lady collecting cardboard and bottles , the list goes on , so do you really " need " these people? Maybe not , but its a check and a balance for you.

I'm not Rich in my mind , but if these people won the Thai lottery x 10 , they still would not have my net worth , the genuine rich ( here ) khun Thai , many of them too , have all of the same full time though.

Massive gaps here , very little middle class , which is why only 4% pay income tax in this country.

Rich men need poor men to do the work, do their bidding, and keep them rich... To built an maintain the society. If poor men stopped working, society will fall apart, no amount of money can go and Fix a faulty Electric line or perform a CPR on a dying patient.

Good men need bad men, So Good men Value The "Goodness" in each other.

Remember, "A Hero Without a Villain is a Pointless, A Villain Without Hero is Successful."

Good people are Born Out of Pain, and promise to protect others from that pain, however The Pain that Made them Grow into a Hero, was a Seed sowed by a bad person.

Rich guys exploit poor guys. That "need" only goes one way. Nobody needs the rich though. They'd be better off recycled.

And those normally marked as "good guys" are typically the cause of "bad guys" being labelled as bad. Most of that is retaliation for wrongdoing. "Bad guys" would be better off if "good guys" just burned.

Interesting. When you say "need" what exactly do you mean there? It could be true for comparison purposes I suppose, but it's not really true in absolute measurement and it's certainly not true in the sense of "needing" someone or some thing for a purpose OTHER than comparison.

Good question. To me, most rich guys ( not all ) need a poor guy to do the stuff they are unwilling to do. But a good guy doesn’t really need a bad guy. If everyone was a good guy, good decent guys tend to help one another. Bad guys just live through intimidation and fear. I have no use for bad guys.

In all seriousness though, I think a poor guy (assuming he's not like homeless-poor, but rather suburb-home-a-wife-three-kids-and-a-corolla-"poor") could teach the rich man to appreciate the smaller things in life, and the bad guy could take out the stick someone shoved up the good guy's anus and make him have some fun. Take that with a big grain of salt though.
