He was comfortable being a male up until he went to therapy and his therapist told him he had gender dysphoria now he went all out on crazy hormones.. his girlfriend encourages it and kind of pushed him to do it. I’m not transphobic I just don’t think he knows who he is.. I’m afraid he’s going to hurt himself.

The girlfriend has strong political views and is so violently passionate about gay and trans rights that she pushed him into thinking he’s trans. I’m so worried for him, he’s already growing breasts and stuff. I’ve heard horror stories of trans people being f*caked up forever from hormones

Gender dysphoria means exactly that. He doesn't know who he is, he feels a disconnect with his birth gender. If he uses hormones from a young age like early puberty he has a chance to halt his transformation into a masculine man. If left too late, then he'll probably make a very ugly woman and that can have devastating consequences for self-esteem. I find a lot of trans people are happy when they use hormones and/or surgery to transform from what they see as an ugly birth gender into a more attractive opposite gender. If they are less attractive, then they tend to change their mind because they don't get to live out the fantasy they were hoping for whether they realised it at first or not.

Well that's fucked, I think as the sister you should be the good voice over her shoulder, tell influence and motivate him to be himself, when he talks about that stuff, you bash on the therapist that the therapist doesn't know what he's talking about push his confusion out of him and remind him of who he is.

Ask him if he's felt this way all his life. If he has, he's doing the right thing. If he only just started getting into this, that's a big mistake!! It should HIM telling the THERAPIST that he's trans, NOT the other way around!!
How long has he been presenting as female? He HAS to do so 24/7 for at least a full year before he can get hormones or the papers to let him get SRS.

I'd almost bet he's gonna regret his decision not long after he gets the full SRS, if he goes that far!! Nearly everyone who was forced or talked into it does! The real ones tend to feel they were born in the wrong body from the time they're able to think. It's not something you DON'T deal with your whole life and then, one day, you decide you want a sex change! This is NOT something you just try on for a while and, if you don't like it, you can take it off and go back to what you used to be. This is FOREVER!!
It might be a good idea to report these people he's seeing to some kind of authority. I just don't know who to point you to.
