Why do cocky attitudes suck so badly?

Because arrogant people regularly degrade and hurt other people and see themselves as superior and people don't like that at all since they feel they're equals. It can also be incredibly annoying to have to listen to someone that brags about their accomplishments and how great they are.

Also, due to their feeling of superiority, they think only their ideas are valuable and tend to dismiss everyone else's point of view, so working with an arrogant person requires either tremendous patience, lack of independent/critical thinking.

But, if it’s not justifiable, it’s just incredibly obnoxious.

9 times out of 10, it’s NOT justifiable though. Most people who act like they’re hot sh*t are usually NOT actually hot sh*t, haha.

As far as I'm concerned, cockiness and arrogance are only a negative trait if they're displayed by a guy. Arrogant women are lovely, in my opinion.
