My popularity increased significantly in high school compared to Jr. High, but I wouldn't say I was popular. I would guess that I moved from around the 5% mark to maybe 60-65%. That's nothing compared to the top guys, but it was a whole new world for me at the time.

No, but I DO hold the distinction of being the reason the no smoking policy was expanded to include bubble gum cigarettes. And I did while simultaneously proving that the adage of "never try to disguise yourself with a fake mustache that's smaller than your real mustache" does not mean "never wear a fake mustache that's smaller than your real mustache".
What Guys Said
I was known because I had fairly good grades. I was also seen as one not to play around with, especially after putting a classmate through a window. That was not my intention, but it did happen.
All my classmates remember me all these years later because of my faith.
Hell no. I was bullied abused and assaulted to near suicide from 4th grade to 12th grade. I did try everything to get it to stop without violence. But unfortunately the thing that got it to stop was violence and my first, last and only time of losing control of my temper and giving in my darker side.
King of the nerds. I didn't care to conform to the popular thing and just did what I enjoyed at the playground. Most of the class would be playing soccer, we hated soccer so we just threw frizzbees at each other at speeds so high they could riccochet off the ground.
No, but I was probably in the middle.
I went to a big high school and the middle school connected to it, so I was bound to know a lot of people. My friend groups consisted of everything from nerds/theater kids to jocks/rednecks, which is how I think most people are.
The only people I wasn't friends with usually were people who did drugs often.I was known as the best soccer player in a school of 1500 kids but I wasn't popular. I was anti social and played soccer every lunch and stayed away from people for the most part other than the people that played soccer at lunch. The "popular" kids were always on the hill next to the school smoking or driving around to buy food.
Nope. But I probably would have been if I was more extroverted, did drugs, wore a bunch of expensive brands, did sports, sagged my pants everywhere & could rap.
I went to an all boys school and had my own set of friends and was quite popular, It didn't stop me getting bullied though
Nope. I was the furthest thing from popular in high school
meh... Upper, middle of the class. I had so much fun, I couldn't have asked for more.
Nah was a loner. In my 2nd highschool though I had more of a group of friends.
