But you brought up an interesting point. From my observations single men and women are interacting less and less nowadays given digital technology, political divisions and the lockdowns 3 years ago greatly exacerbated all of this. Some people really never fully returned back to normal after the pandemic.

About 2 weeks ago I got in a very long talk with a girl who works the front desk at a local gym I frequent. She’s literally half my age but we chatted it up anyway. She’s a college freshman and I gave her advice on how to handle that time period in our life. She told me (somewhat kidding somewhat not) wished I didn’t have to leave.

It later dawned on me that outside my family I really don’t talk to women that much at all nowadays.

But I got a date planned date on Saturday (not the front desk girl). So that out to be good for me.
