Boyfriend can’t open up when he started to have interest in me?

I’m in a relationship with a guy for a month. Whenever I asked him about when did he start to have interest in me, he can’t open up to answer that. He said he has trust issue and he doesn’t like to open up about such questions yet. And he asks me why it’s important. To me, it’s so weird how trust issue connect to such simple question. I’m kinda loss for words.

Maybe, he feels afraid to to open up about his true feelings.
From what I’ve heard sometimes guys are afraid to be vulnerable around their own partner because sometimes vulnerability is frowned upon
