Why my crush is not making a move?

I notice that my crush is showing me signs of interests like making eye contact, mirror my body language, he tries to stay in close physical proximity to me like standing near me or walk close to me, he also call me by my name a lot, and his body and feet is always facing me even though he looks somewhere else, and when he laughs with his friends he looks at me, and he always defend me and help me when I need, but despite all that he's not willing to ask me out on a date? Why? Is he waiting for me to make the move?

You just walk up and talk. Again if you prefer he does it, you could wait a long time. That’s your choice by the way, to wait a long time and risk he never asks you out

@BarryLiverstone is right. While you're playing FAFO there's the other woman in accounting/down the block/his buddy knows that understands that it's 2024 and isn't going to wait around. She shoots her shot while you are waiting on the sideline, very rarely will you win that one.

Yes, Its the eye contact and attention that I gave him made him act this way

A guy that timid is a bad sign. Once you have given him the sign he should've moved towards you to go talk to you.
