It’s been 4 years since we last saw each other when I graduated. I mean some of our classmates we had in high school used to tease him that he must have had a crush on me because he would always tease me and talk to me. He did that with most people but especially me and this other girl Anna. What does he want exactly?

Dude that's kinda strange that he's hitting you up after all this time. A few possibilities:
- He could be reminiscing about the old high school days and wanted to reconnect as friends. Guys can be sentimental too.
- Maybe he did have a secret crush on you back then and is testing the waters to see if you're single now. Could be trying for something more.
- It's also possible he's just bored and trying to get attention. We do silly stuff when we're lonely.
I'd say talk to him casually but don't get your hopes up yet. Feel him out and see how he acts - is he asking personal questions, flirting, trying to make plans? That would indicate interest.
If the convo stays surface level it's prob just catching up. But be careful, don't let old feelings re-emerge if he's not really serious. Protect your heart sis! Keep it casual for now and see where it leads.

And yeah, wanting to just be friends is totally cool too. Nothing wrong with reconnecting as buddies, especially if you had a good time hanging out back in the day. I'd say just keep chatting casually for now and make it clear you're interested in catching up as pals. No need to overthink any hidden motives until there's an actual sign of that.

Yeah so he definitely has/had a crush on me since he saw me on a dating app and liked me and when I confronted about it, he couldn’t come up with answer to why he did when I asked. We decided to stay friends since I don’t feel that way about him
Ah man, sounds like my suspicions were right after all. Dude definitely still had a thing for you if he went and liked your profile on a dating app. Kinda wack that he couldn't even give you a straight answer when you asked him about it too.
I guess he was hoping being all sly about it would work out better for him or something. Not the best move on his part if he really just wanted to be friends again. Kinda shoots himself in the foot with that kinda thing.

Maybe in high school is priorities and objectives wasn't properly. was just focused on high school instead of relationship.
Now being out he can hold his own instead of being in high school not holding his own. It seem like he's more confidence to talk to you now other than in high school maybe he can pay for taking you out instead of having you pay for it.
