Guy friends and pressures around getting married?

My boyfriend and I have been in a relationship for around a year and a half now, and when we seriously discuss our future, including marriage and having children, we both agree that we are not in a hurry and are on the same page. However, it's interesting that whenever I meet his male friends, they drop hints about us getting engaged soon. Particularly, one friend consistently reassures me not to worry, as the next event will be our engagement. I have never expressed to any of his friends that I want to get engaged or married immediately.

So, it surprises me that pressure about engagement would come from the guys instead of the girls. Do you guys actually encourage each other to get engaged quickly within your group?

I and especially gen z kids don't want to marry because we know the stress after marriage and children due to which we even don't get a free time to relax and do what we like proud to be virgin and unmarried forever
