Might just be an oversight on his part. I make that mistake sometimes when I'm distracted even though I try to be a gentleman.

Also sometimes I make a clumsy mistake where I thought I could pull a door open and hold it open for my wife or anyone else (including guys) but I realized too late that I was supposed to push it open, so then they're jammed up beside me and I'm trying to push the door open for them and getting in the way. Whoops! 😂

It might help in your case if you clasp his arm or hand to slow him down and make him more aware of you.

You are definitely being too sensitive. He is your guy friend not your boyfriend. Equality would be he opens the door for himself and you open the door for yourself.

I suggest you to tell him that his actions doesn't says that he likes you as he is got to comfortable. Tell him that he being a gentleman makes you feel cherished and loved. Then see his actions after you tell him.
