Does he like me as more than a friend?

I really like this guy thay has told me multiple times how shy he is. He has been messaging me a lot, and also has said over text message after he said something really funny and I laughed - "Lmao I thought that would make you smile." He's told me before about stuff that he's afraid of. He's cried in front of me. He tells me everything. He also tries to show off in his car when he sees me at the gas station, in town, etc.

The downfall is that he's one of my ex husband's former friends. He still works with my ex husband, so I'm sure that doesn't help. I don't know.

Do you think he likes me, or just likes to be my friend? I'm not his typical type, so that's why I ask.

I would say he most likely likes you. Guys don't normally cry in front of girls, I could be wrong but I think he does. Sounds like he shares more with you than most, I don't tell anyone my fears even close friends. He probably is shy you just broke his wall to a degree just afraid to ask you out probably from working with your ex and/or scared you say no.

Well depends on if you like him back and how much of any drama would this cause with your ex

Well I think you should just let him know you like him and be honest with him. If he is shy he may be too scared to. But personally I think you should figure out if this would cause problems with your ex, I don't think you want to make his work life miserable.
