For some people it takes time to get to know someone. There is two extremes of people who are way too trusting of others and people who don’t ever trust anyone. Some people can go from one extreme to the next by letting the wront people into their lives until they close everyone out.

What he means specificly I’m sorry not all men are the same or have the same life experiences. Some people are amazing people so they attract narcissistic people. Other people are narcissistic and playing the victim. Acting like people abandoned them but when you hear the real story. It’s a lot different then their version.

It means he has walls up protecting his heart because he probably had his heart shit on before , after giving it to a girl that he thought loved him back the same , once someone experiences heart break it’s hard for them to open up their heart again for someone else , because they fear that new person will eventually do the same to them.
