I need help with this situation please?

So my friends and I were chilling at a friends place and we were drinking and having fun, then after dinner one of my guy friends asked me to join him outside. We went to his car and played some games that he had in his car (electronic games) and then he put on some classical music and put our seats down and said let’s watch the stars. It wasn’t until when one of our other friends came to get us that we left. But we were there for a good while.

Context: I’ve always thought of him as a friend and I’m 100% sure he has thought the same way about me too. He has a girlfriend as well. But this trip something felt off. Eg while watching a film he would snuggle next to me, the moment I mentioned a guy I find cute he would either change the subject, like once we were on the coach and he said do you want a foot rub, and gave me a foot massage. I don't know if I’m reading too much into it, can you help me?

Sounds like he is testing the waters to see how you would react to some alone time. It sounds to me like he may have a thing for you. He wants to get closer to you from what you described. Now this could also be from the drinking. I bartend and call that liquid courage. People tend to loosen their inhibitions and be more open with their thoughts and feelings. So maybe he has had something for you and the drinks loosened him up to act on it. Just be careful because once you transition from friendship to relationship that can really change the way things are. You also risk losing a friend if it doesn’t work out. Best of luck to ya.
