I have been through this thing... My guy frnd was really afraid to express that he loves me. But he couldn't keep that thought in his mind for more than 4 months so previous month one day he finally confessed. I didn't know what to say bcoz I like him but due to my family and all I cannot be in a relationship and personally I feel like relationship are burden and beings frnds is freedom. people suffer mentally in relations...

He did not asked me to be his girlfriend or something but only thing he said was," I don't want ur reply.. i just wanted to let you know that I love you... and I will always love you forever no matter where our future will take us" That line was so heart touching for me. And now we r still best friends but deep down I know he loves me a lot. And lowkey I want to see my future with him... but it depends on our fate...

This is where you talk to the person because it is selfish to make choices for them. You decision to remain friends might not be what he would want if he knew. He may feel the same as you but no one has let the other know how they feel.
Then again he may want to remain friends after knowing how you feel. That is his choice too. A relationship takes two just as a friendship does. Not have input…

Agreed and if they choose to make it a relationship then they choose it together. If they talk about it and choose to remain friends then both have to respect the others decision even if it is different from theirs.

if I have feelings for her... then I am not being a friend

to me, a friend is a friend, nothing else... now, if I am just getting to know her and we're friendly, any "feelings" I would entertain would be only if it were mutual and not one sided but then again... we would not be friends exactly
