You figure out what your mission in life is, and you focus on achieving it. There are going to be many challenges, setbacks, disasters, etc. but you make smart decisions, continue to treat people well (until they prove they don't deserve it), improve yourself along the way. Have fun, but don't let yourself get out of control, or let your head get big. Lead with competence and morals, but don't take people's bullshit either. Be nice when you can be, but also be direct. Respect people unless they behave in such a way that they don't deserve respect.

Don't be afraid to tell women "no" - hardly anyone ever does that, and doing so will make you stand out. Sometimes women won't like it, but sometimes they will.

Stay focused on your mission. Women admire and respect, and are often attracted to, a man with a mission who is achieving it. Even if you get into a relationship, do not be distracted from your mission. Learn something every day. Hold people to a high standard - especially yourself.

Take charge of things that need to be taken charge of, but make sure you lead well. Don't short-change yourself but don't screw other people over either - always remember that your actions and decisions will have consequences.

Treat people well, but don't spend too much time or energy worrying what other people think of you. Make sure you meet YOUR moral standards and values. There's always going to be some people who won't like you - and sometimes that may be justified, and sometimes it will be completely unjustified - but you should never try to please everyone, because no one can. When you stop worrying about what everyone thinks of you, your self-esteem and confidence will improve, and ironically, more people will think more positively of you than before.

Remember that, while you will need to be a leader, you won't be able to accomplish everything on your own - you will need people on your team. Everyone who achieves great success has a team behind them, and you will only be as good as your team. That's why you can't be a jerk, or you won't be able to have the kind of team that brings success.

Not everyone can be a leader - most people simply aren't - but that's what it means to be an "alpha."

I have always answered like this. An alpha male has to prove himself, like a peacock attracting a mate. He loves posing shirtless showing muscles that say he spends more time in a gym that with a girl. He has to have a fast car and loves showing off.

A "beta" male is the true alpha. He is confident, can draw attention to himself without posing. He has no need to show off.

I found a true alpha 6 1/2 years ago. Quiet, confident and very caring.

I knew a guy that was a great beta. Then he turned into a alpha and I didn't like him that much.
I wanted the beta back, but there was no turning back.

I guess hanging around a lot of alpha men will turn a beta guy into an alpha cause you learn how to be alpha by watching them.
