Men, do you and / or why would you guys ghost and push a woman you like away... if you are going through something/ problems in your life? Does this mean you care about her or that you don't care about her? Because the way I see it and what it feels like is that you don't care about her because you push he way instead of letting her be there for you and love you through it instead of ghosting her... please help me understand... if it's because you care please explain to me why..

Let me add it's an old friend.. we have been chatting every day for a few months now since we have reconnected since our teens.. I knew he was having some issues from when we talked. He has mentioned some stuff.. I got a message from him today after not hearing from him for almost 2 weeks and he said he's so sorry for going silent on me but he's been dealing with somestuff and trying to live like he's ok when he's not and that I don't deserve that he went silent.. and that he loves and misses me

What Guys Said
If it is someone that you been chatting with for a while or care about already I believe ghosting/ignoring someone is wrong. If they did something to upset you or end the relationship for you, you need to just suck it up and tell them. To just disappear is ridiculous.
Yeah, it's an old friend.. we have been chatting every day for a few months now since we have reconnected.. I knew he was having some issues from when we talked. He has mentioned some stuff.. Well it sounds like he actually has a good reason so maybe you can forgive it since you knew before hand that he was having issues. This doesn't sound like a normal thing from him
No, I get that.. but why? is it because he cares about me? or he dsnt? Because I feel like if he did he would let me love him through it... no?
I don't know honestly. I would have to understand what he's going through to know if it's justified or not. But I don't need to know that information It's not my business. But if you just started talking again, he may have thought it was too soon to bring you in on that.
Yeah.. I guess im just trying to figure out if he's using it as an excuse for ghosting me.. or if he's trying to protect me from whatever he's got going on
I'm not asking to know. I'm just saying I would need to know the reasons to tell you which one for sure. But given how he apologized and said you didn't deserve that I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt and say he just wants to protect you/thinks it's too soon to drag you into whatever it is.
Why do women do it when they do the exact same thing?
Could be an ego thing. Could be that you don't want to subject the person to your baggage. It could be that you don't actually like the person all that much and you want an easy out.
I don't know I've never pushed anyone away..
I'm sure one of your girlfriends has.
First off you have to understand that most men are callous jerks with no more understanding of what a woman is actually like than a Bee does of Algebra. The you pick a good one and train him.
