Ambiguous man and strange réaction 😭?

Hello.

I've known a man for 10 years now, we had a one night stand, kept in touch but not Seen each other again as we live far away from each other in France. We've not spoken on thé phone for 5 years now.

He's kept blocking and unblocking me lately on whatsapp so I asked him on Friday why he kept blocking and unblocking me : " Are you interested in me or are you just leading me on?" I wrote.

He just replied : "🤣"

What does it mean?

To me that emoji means he finds it funny. Perhaps because it has been so long that you have spoken to each other he finds it funny that you would assume that he is all of a sudden interested. I think after 10 years of not trying things at a relationship level means that you two were not meant to be. I think that if something was going to happen it would have by now. From what you write it doesn't seem as if it would work out anyway because of the distance. Long distance relationships seldom succeed and usually just trail off and die. So I think that he just found your suggestion of him being interested funny is how I take that to mean.

I would assume he has problems with expressing himself, or he is very childish, OR both.

Yeah I find thé réaction straightforward but his blocking / unblocking for a few weeks : Weird stuff... Blocking for like 2 days, 5 days, 15 minutes. Etc very often
