What does it mean if a guy acts like this?

So basically, today we were doing this assignment in school but we were in the hallway. There’s this guy that I think is cute and I think someone told him that I thought he was cute. While I was doing the assignment with my friend, he walk up to me and basically just kept standing over me from behind and he was really close to me (this happened twice). Besides this, he keeps finding ways to interact with me, although he doesn’t really have conversations with me much. He does things like ask to borrow pens (even though I was sitting far from him), and he often will just come and sit wherever I am, but doesn’t exactly talk to me much. The other day I was talking with my group while doing a Chem project, and he was listening in on my conversation because he repeated what I said to the class out loud. He even got this girl to come and ask me if I liked him or not. What does all this mean?

Whoa, sounds like that guy may be into you or something! Standing all close behind you like that is definitely not normal friend behavior. And always finding excuses to come over and interrupt your group, plus remembering little things you said, like he's definitely paying attention to you, ya know?

Asking other people if you like him is also a big sign - guys don't usually do that unless they're interested themselves, trying to figure out if you're open to something more. And if he does it in a teasing, flirty way with his friends too that's another good sign. Seems like he wants you to notice him!

My advice would be, next time you catch him looking over or whatever, smile and say hi so he knows you're cool with him being around. If he smiles back and starts chatting more, he's probably just a little shy but into you. Or you could try finding an excuse to work with him on something small, see how he acts one on one.
