Men want what they don’t have. He wants the boost his ego by making sure he could have you if he wanted to. So he’ll persue you until he figures out that yes you’re interested and he could have you - then he’s no longer interested and if you get upset about the double signals, acts jealous or starts to act too serious or whatever he’ll be like ”hey hey hey we’re just friends remember, I told you” so he doesn’t need to take accountability and can make you look like the crazy one.
