Sounds like he’s just using you for sex. You could be there for him, but I’d say no more intimacy. See how long that last. Because chances are if he’s just in it for the sex he will eventually talk to you less or not at all if you’re not giving it up to him. Exactly what do you mean by intimate? More than likely he knows you don’t want something casual so he isn’t going to say that otherwise chances are he will lose access to you. Is that something you’d be open to?
