One of my friends told me he likes me one year ago, back then I had no feelings yet for him, but he was still here and we talked all the time till he got a job, now I kinda have feelings, when we were on a phone call I told him that I think I like him. He was so happy and he asked me what I do expect to happen, I said nothing and I do really mean it. So he kept talking for like half an hour about how he is not ready now for a relationship and he's so busy "he's a medical student and also working" and dealing with family issues and bla bla bla, you're so perfect, I l love you bla bla bla and no it's not about you.

Now did he reject me?

I don't understand what are we or what should happen. Should we talk?

Or no he doesn't like me anymore and if he wanted me he would say.

Should I move on?

I'm not sure how this can be more simple. He explained to you the exact reasons that he can't have a relationship. I'm not sure how this is confusing. He said he had family issues and is too busy with school. Do you have any clue what medical students go through? I am not a med student but know plenty. It is tough and tons of work. I don't think that he is lying to you at all that he just doesn't have time for a relationship right now. He also indicated that he does like you and is sorry, etc. Sounds like he does want something more but realizes that it would be impossible and not fair to either of you. Yes that is a rejection.

I take it to mean he can't right now. Rejection now doesn't mean rejection in the future. Let him sort out what he has going on in life. Sounds like he has a lot going on. Also sounds like he really does like you but just doesn't have the time for dating/relationship.

Aww man, that's a tough one. From the sounds of it, I think he did let you down easy though...

Saying he's "not ready" and hitting you with all those excuses about busy schedule/family stuff is a gentle way of rejection. If a guy was really into you, he'd at least try to make things work somehow ya feel?

At the same time, he made it clear it's not about you specifically, so don't let it get you down! And who knows, maybe things could happen once his life calms down.

I'd say let it be for now and focus on you. But maybe hit him up in a few months to catch up, see if he's in a better headspace. Until then don't pine away waiting - get out there, have fun and don't close any other doors!

If it's meant to be maybe you'll reconnect down the road. But for now I wouldn't read too much into it and just keep it casual. Heal your heart, sis. You'll get through this!
