He hasn't responded to my message for an hour, should I be worried?

I texted my boyfriend this morning the following "wyd, are you sleeping"

He replied with "Nope, I'm about yo help my brother assemble furniture from IKEA".

I said back "oh, you are going to do it"... because he complained about it yesterday and said he doesn't want to get involved.

The he texted back with "they called my best friend asking him to do it... and that's how I decided to go anyway".

And I replied with "they are cunning/smart ass"

He then stopped responding and I asked him "can I call you later or not"

He hasn't even read it yet, it's been an hour.

At first I thought that maybe someone has called him, but now I'm not so sure about it.

What should I do?

Well, without knowing him, you, or your relationship, I would think you're fine, just take it easy, and wait for him to contact you.
If he does mention it, you'll just tell him you didn't mean any harm.

Tbh... they made a pretty clever move to call his friend in order to shame him into doing the job he didn't want doing.
But maybe they are his family after all and I should not have used that word.
Anyway... I do maybe read too much into it, although he hasn't responded still... it's been two hours. I will call him in one hour or two to see what's up. I don't want an argument cause tomorrow is my BD.
