Why are guys usually so polite toward me (holding doors, smiling, small favors, etc)? It seems excessive but do they do this with everyone?

I have done things like that for pretty much everyone when I'm out and about. I was raised to be polite. Plus, you never know what another is going through, it may just make their day. I don't know what you look like but maybe it could be something to do with you being attractive, ya never know. But most men i know are polite and treat others with kindness.

Maybe. I hold doors for everyone coming or going and am kind to everyone. If someone seems to be struggling carrying packages I will offer to help. This applies to man and female, young and old. Just common courtesy in my world.

Because we don’t hate anybody. And we’re fond of women overall. Our mother’s didn’t teach us to be snobs and we will even do it for a lady we see as wifey material.
