Hmm that is kind of weird that he gifted you but didn't add the usual "I love/miss you". Could be a few different things:
- He may have been in a rush or distracted when sending the gift and just forgot to include the sweet message. Guys aren't always the best at multitasking!
- Maybe he's feeling a bit off or preoccupied with something else going on in his life right now. Wouldn't necessarily mean anything is wrong between you two.
- Possibly trying to play it cool/not come on too strong by withholding those words this time. Some guys think less is more when it comes to expressing feelings.
I wouldn't jump to conclusions yet that there's a problem. But you could shoot him a casual text like "thanks for the gift! everything okay?" to open a dialogue. See how he responds before worrying too much.
And don't be afraid to gently bring it up if it still seems off. Reassurance never hurts! Communication is important. I'm sure it was just an oversight on his part if he's usually affectionate. Try not to stress - I'm sure you two are fine!
Don't be concerned! Communication is key in relationships, so if you're feeling concerned, it might be helpful to talk to him about your feelings. Sometimes, people go through phases where they express themselves differently due to stress, preoccupation, or other personal reasons. A straightforward conversation could clear up any misunderstandings and help reassure you of his feelings.
