I had a phone conversation with a salt of the earth country guy. I’m a sophisticated city woman and we seemed not to connect on life views or common interests. I got the impression that this guy didn’t like me, because after ten minutes of talking, he wanted to go. After previously having let me know that he was single and that he found me attractive.
I was born and raised in the country and I've never been interested in city girls. I don't like anything about big cities. I go to the Blossom Festival in spring and the Harvest Festival in autumn and love being a hick. When I buy groceries I usually run into half a dozen people I know and stop to chat. If he's like me and you're the type of person who likes living in the city, he's not going to pursue anything because living in the city is my worst nightmare. I'll choose a small town country girl every time

@HappyWoman34 Maybe he found you to aggressive or pushy.
I am both American and Canadian, born and raised in Toronto, but many from that city, and NYC, the two cities where I have lived most of my life in, are impolite, and are very, very pushy.

no, that can happen. Green Acres is TV, not real life.
If you have no commonalities it is best to let it go, not like you can do anything about it anyways. You won't jive with everyone as every person has their own set of rules and wants. You didn't fit into his and he might not have fit into yours. It happens all the time.
After 10 minutes? Yes, it sounds like it didn't go well, based off of what you said. There's a chance that I could be wrong & there's more to it than that, but if not, I wish you luck with others in the future.
Sometimes conversations just don't feel right.
Insofar as you both found out that you won't be a good natch early, it went very well. In terms of a romantic relationship between the two of you, Chernobyl had less devastation.
Personality can make or break a relationship. I'd say you aren't compatible.
