My friend got something in het shoe. I helped that friend to get it out. Then I saw suddenly a guy smiling, I think my age.. so I smiled back and then his smile got bigger and he kept staring. Not even stared at my friend. My friend kept looking and said he didn't even notice me looking weird at him bc he kept staring and smiling at me.

I just don't get that kind of attention from men. I thought I should be nice bc he smiled, that's all.

Was he tryna say something with that kind of smile? His smile was like; smiling from ear to ear and he kept smiling like that and kept staring while he did that.
Or was he making fun of me? I'm not used to that kind of attention haha..

- He clearly thought you were cute or pretty if he was staring and smiling that big. Guys don't usually look at a girl that way if they're not interested.

Thank you so much for being nice. I am always worried if it is a good thing bc I got bullied a lot and haven't met people who are kind to me. So I'm always doubting.

He was in a car. My friend and I were so surprised he reacted like that.

Aww man, that sucks you got bullied before. I know how hard that can be and make it tough to trust people. But don't let those jerks make you think everyone is mean, you seem like a really nice girl!

And yeah, this situation does sound more positive the more you explain. If he was in a car then he probably wasn't trying to mess with you or anything. Guys don't usually put that much effort into a mean joke. And your friend noticed it too so it wasn't just in your head.

I'd say try to stop doubting yourself so much. You didn't do anything wrong, he was just giving you a compliment with his smile. Next time you're out, if you see him drive by again and he smiles, smile back. Who knows, maybe he'll get the courage to come talk to you! But even if not, at least take it as a confidence boost that someone thinks you're worth smiling about. Just keep being your cool self and don't change how nice you are just because of some mean people in the past. Not everyone is out to get you, I'm sure most people think you're great!
